Wildfires have swept across all of Washington state’s national parks, affecting iconic sites such as Mount Rainier National Park and North Cascades National Park. These fires pose a threat to significant landmarks and local ecosystems.

Currently, 95 large, uncontrolled fires are spreading in the region. Mount Rainier National Park in Washington and Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon are prominent areas facing this threat.

The Border 2 Fire has notably affected North Cascades National Park in Washington. On Friday, the park was covered in smoke, creating a challenging environment for wildlife and visitors alike.

As of Thursday, wildfires have consumed over 6.4 million acres nationwide. On Wednesday alone, 103 new fires were reported, indicating the severity and rapid spread of these events.
