Shuttle Bus Crash at Newark Liberty Airport Injures 13

An incident occurred at Newark Liberty International Airport early Monday morning when a shuttle bus collided with a concrete barrier. According to local reports, 13 individuals were injured in this crash. Three of these people sustained severe injuries. Ten others had minor injuries. Fortunately, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The accident took place a little after 3 a.m. on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway, as reported by News 12 New Jersey. Visual evidence provided by Fox News Digital depicted the shuttle bus heavily damaged and pressed against the barrier. The front end of the bus was crumpled. The bus door’s glass and the windshield were shattered.

In response to the crash, the affected individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment, as reported by WABC-TV. Police tape cordoned off the crash site, where first responders were active. The cause of the collision remains unknown. Authorities are investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Due to the crash, the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway was temporarily closed to clear debris. As a precaution, the Port Authority Police Department advised travelers departing from Terminal B to use Level 2 for drop-off, as police activity continued in the area.
