A delivery driver in Florida is under examination after a doorbell camera caught them throwing a package instead of delivering it carefully. The Ring camera footage, shared by resident Nathan Pekas, displays the driver tossing the package onto a concrete porch. The driver then raises a device to photograph the delivery for proof and walks away as a dog barks from inside the residence.
The video reveals the box landing with a loud sound before the driver departs without placing the package at the front door. Pekas reported the delivery was conducted by Yun Express, a third-party service used for some Amazon shipments.
“The Florida heat must have been too exhausting for those extra steps to the door,” Pekas jokingly remarked about the incident.
Amazon responded to the situation, acknowledging the clip and promising an investigation. An Amazon spokesperson stated, “This video does not reflect the standards we have for our delivery partners, and we’re looking into this matter.” The condition of the package’s contents remains unclear, as does the current status of the driver regarding Amazon deliveries.
Fox News Digital has sought further comments from Amazon.
This occurrence is the latest in a string of viral delivery mishaps captured on doorbell cameras. Last month, a FedEx driver in Georgia fell into a pool while backing away to take a delivery photo, humorously commenting, “I needed that,” as they climbed out and continued on their route.
