Meghan Markle’s net approval rating in the U.K. dropped to minus 43 in the second quarter of 2026, marking her lowest approval yet in this measurement system. According to YouGov Ratings, only 18 percent liked the Duchess of Sussex while 61 percent held a negative view from April to June. This shows a decline from the first quarter where she had a net approval of minus 21, with 26 percent support and 47 percent disapproval. Overall, her net approval fell by 22 points quarter to quarter.

The lowest point in her approval rating comes during a challenging year. In March, Netflix withdrew as an equity partner in her lifestyle company, As Ever. In April, Meghan and Prince Harry visited Australia. She also delivered a speech about the dangers of social media in Geneva, Switzerland, in May.
