Zachary Fardon, who served as Chicago’s leading federal prosecutor from 2013 to 2017, sold his Lincoln Park mansion for $4.3 million earlier this year. Fardon and his wife made the sale shortly after acquiring a co-op unit on the Gold Coast for $3 million.

The mansion sale marks a notable transaction in the area, reflecting the property’s value and the demand for such luxury homes. The Lincoln Park mansion had long been part of Fardon’s assets before the decision to relocate to the Gold Coast.

The co-op unit purchased by Fardon and his wife is a four-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot property, offering ample space and a prime location. The shift from mansion to co-op signifies a change in the couple’s lifestyle preferences.

“The demand for luxury properties, both in Lincoln Park and Gold Coast, continues to soar,” commented local real estate expert. “Such transactions underscore the dynamic nature of Chicago’s real estate market.”

The move aligns with broader trends in Chicago, where many residents are opting for upscale urban living in iconic neighborhoods like the Gold Coast.
