Braden Peters, widely recognized online as “Clavicular,” is a 20-year-old social media influencer caught in legal turmoil. Accusations have been levied against him by a 17-year-old girl who alleges rape. These charges were first reported by The Bulwark, and rooted in a supposed incident on May 23, 2025.

Peters, known for being part of “looksmaxxing,” a digital trend that emphasizes enhancing male appearance, faces multiple charges. These include rape, drugging someone to facilitate sexual intercourse, and providing alcohol to a minor. The Orleans District Court in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, officially filed the charges on September 8.

Attempts by NPR to reach Peters through his court-listed phone number were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, his representative, Mitchell Jackson, responded via email, stating Peters denies the allegations entirely.

Alleged Incident Details

The court documents reveal that Peters initially connected with the alleged victim on Instagram. He allegedly paid her to join his livestreams, suggesting it could boost her social media presence. On the specified date in May, Peters reportedly invited the underage girl to his home in Chatham, Massachusetts. It’s claimed he instructed her to misstate her age during a live video and pretend that vodka was merely water.

The young girl purportedly felt coerced into consuming alcohol, leading to notable intoxication. She further alleges non-consensual sexual activity occurred after the livestream ended. Despite these serious allegations, the girl did not undergo a sexual assault forensic exam.

Legal Proceedings and Past Incidents

The same individual had previously filed a civil lawsuit against Peters in Florida. Accusations in that case included battery, fraud, emotional distress, and unauthorized use of personal likeness. She accused Peters of giving her alcohol and participating in non-consensual acts while she was a minor, as well as injecting her with an unauthorized substance during a livestream. Attorney Andrew Moss, representing the girl in the Miami legal dispute, verified that both cases involve the same plaintiff.

Jackson, Peters’ representative, criticized the plaintiff’s legal strategy. He argued the initial lawsuit failed to mention sexual assault, only adding it months later. Additionally, Peters filed a motion to dismiss the civil lawsuit, pointing to messages suggesting the plaintiff’s knowledge of ongoing events related to the substance injection.

Peters’ recent legal issues are not isolated. In March, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in Florida sought Peters’ arrest, accusing him of facilitating a physical altercation between two women, then posting the video online. Although he was detained, those charges were dropped. In April, Peters faced charges for unlawfully discharging a firearm in the Florida Everglades, captured in a viral gun-related video.

Public Reactions and Upcoming Court Date

Despite these serious allegations, Peters has not issued any official public statement regarding his criminal charges. Nevertheless, he took to social media, particularly on X, expressing disdain for the plaintiff and her methods. He referred to the lawsuit as an attention-seeking strategy.

In one social media post, a shirtless Peters converses with a young woman who, despite initially stating she was 16, corrects herself to say she is 18. The post seems to serve as a challenge to credibility. Peters is due in court for arraignment on October 14.
