Ella Langley holds a distinct vision for her ideal hunting trip. She doesn’t long for anything exotic. Her focus is on something more traditional.
During the CMA Fest 2024, the country singer shared her dream hunt. When asked, Langley mentioned she would prefer to hunt a massive white-tailed deer.
Details of the Dream Hunt
Langley elaborated that she desires a large, robust buck. She prefers to use a rifle for the hunt, possibly opting for her .30-06 or .308 rifles. She has successfully used these in the past for deer hunting. Although she knows archery has its allure, she joked that firearms eliminate much of the guesswork involved with a bow.
Controversy and Online Reaction
A past clip of Langley discussing hunting has resurfaced amid criticism she faced online. Recently, older images of her with harvested bucks circulated on social media. Critics spotlighted these photos as controversial. However, Langley originally shared these pictures herself, demonstrating her enjoyment and openness about hunting.
Another video, from Porch Light Unfiltered, reveals a personal hunting lesson Langley learned. In high school, she shot her largest deer. Unfortunately, she moved too quickly before the deer could be properly retrieved. The animal was never found even after a search with her father.
Langley remarked, “Oh, it haunts me,” expressing regret for not recovering the animal and conserving its meat. The experience underscores her respect for hunting as a serious responsibility.
Despite online disapproval concerning her old hunting photos, Langley’s commitment to hunting persists. She also continues to see success in her music career. Her single “Choosin’ Texas” has remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 24 weeks.
While critics focus on her hunting photos, Langley concentrates on achieving her goals, both in hunting and in music.
