Arizona Candidate Arrested in Alleged Break-In Incident

An Arizona Democratic congressional candidate, Brianna Westbrook, was arrested following an alleged forced entry into an ex-partner’s residence. Armed with a knife and tape, Westbrook claimed the event was related to a BDSM scene, which her former partner denies.

Incident Details

Phoenix police responded to a call on July 10 from a woman who reported Westbrook’s unexpected entry. Expecting her son at the door, she instead found Westbrook, who brandished a knife and tape. A confrontation ensued, leading to Westbrook pushing the victim onto a couch. The victim’s screams alerted her sister, prompting Westbrook to make a threatening motion with the knife before fleeing.

Westbrook’s Statement

Officers approached Westbrook, who insisted the encounter was a misunderstanding. Westbrook contended the victim and she had a prior agreement to stage a scene connected to BDSM. She claimed the supposed agreement was communicated through indirect messages on Instagram. Westbrook admitted visiting armed with a knife and tape, believing this was part of the arrangement.

Victim’s Account and Legal Consequences

The victim refuted any involvement in a planned scene. In court documents, police labeled the knife used by Westbrook as simulated. Westbrook faces charges of third-degree burglary, aggravated assault using a simulated deadly weapon, and disorderly conduct. Past incidents suggest a history of domestic violence, with increasing severity.

A preliminary hearing is set for Monday. Fox News Digital has attempted to reach Westbrook for comment.
