Ana Navarro’s Defense of Hunter Biden on ‘The View’

Ana Navarro, co-host of “The View,” expressed admiration for Hunter Biden, describing him as “riveting” and “the biggest troll” during an appearance on the ABC show’s “Behind the Table” podcast. Navarro highlighted a 90-minute interview with Biden, where she argued that the scrutiny of his Burisma income was dwarfed by the earnings of the Trump family during Donald Trump’s presidency.

Navarro criticized the congressional hearing in which Republicans targeted Hunter Biden for his earnings from Burisma, suggesting it was minor compared to the financial gains made by the Trump family. She referred to this as one of the “double standards” discussed in her “Bleep! with Ana Navarro” podcast.

Navarro was motivated to interview Biden after observing his social media presence, which she considered humorous despite his trolling tactics. She recounted Biden’s witty response to accusations linking him to cocaine found at the White House in July 2023. The investigation by the Secret Service was closed without identifying a suspect, though the FBI reopened the case in 2025.

Throughout the podcast, Navarro defended Biden’s charismatic nature and combative presence online. She described the interview as engaging, despite coinciding with the Argentina versus England World Cup game.

According to the House Oversight Committee, Burisma paid Biden and his business associate Devon Archer $1 million annually after they joined the board in 2014. This was during Biden’s father’s tenure as Vice President, when Joe Biden oversaw U.S. policy toward Ukraine under the Obama administration.

Hunter Biden’s art sales came under scrutiny, with Navarro defending his earnings, stating that paintings sold underwent a vetting process, affirming his lifelong passion for painting. In contrast, the White House dismissed attempts to compare the Trump family’s independent business success with Hunter Biden’s activities.

Steven Cheung, communications director for the White House, downplayed Hunter Biden’s credibility, emphasizing the Trump children’s accomplishments in leading corporations, whereas Biden faced criticism for personal conduct and art sales.

Reports from Fox News Digital mentioned that Biden was aware of most of his buyers before a secrecy agreement took effect. His artworks drew payments from ten buyers amounting to $1.5 million, with Biden netting $900,000.

In cryptocurrency ventures, Trump’s family reportedly expanded their wealth by at least $2.3 billion since his return to the White House. Trump declared he did not manage his personal finances.
