Wyoming voters are heading to the polls today to select the Republican and Democratic candidates for governor. Incumbent Governor Mark Gordon is ineligible for another term, leaving the seat open.
Megan Degenfelder, the state’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, is running for the Republican nomination. She has the endorsement of President Trump, which has varied in influence this primary season but remains sought after by many Republican contenders.
Brent Bien, a retired U.S. Marine Colonel, is also in the race. He previously finished as a runner-up to Gordon in the 2022 GOP primary and now hopes to secure the nomination with the support of the state GOP.
Other candidates in the Republican primary include State Senator Eric Barlow and Curt Blake, a professional in rodeo production.
On the Democratic side, Ken Casner is the only candidate running. Having competed in the last two gubernatorial races in 2018 and 2022, Casner is the presumptive nominee for his party.
The polls are scheduled to close at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
