Former professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko has expressed his deep sorrow following the unexpected death of his ex-fiancé Hayden Panettiere on Sunday. He stated that he and his family are experiencing profound shock and grief.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Klitschko wrote, “She left this world far too soon. Hayden was, even though not my partner anymore, a significant part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya.” He acknowledged her remarkable career and the challenges she faced in a demanding industry, emphasizing the indelible impact she had on their lives.
Klitschko also mentioned his commitment to their daughter, Kaya, saying, “I will always speak of her mother with respect and ensure she knows who her mother was.”
Panettiere, aged 36, passed away in Greenville, South Carolina. Police reported that officers and EMS responded to a call about an unresponsive woman at approximately 1:50 p.m. Unfortunately, Panettiere was declared dead at the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office, in an initial report to Newsweek, confirmed that a 911 call was received at 1:51 p.m. for a cardiac arrest at 701 Easley Bridge Road. Despite advanced cardiac life support measures by EMS, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and Panettiere was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m.
