Viral Buffalo at Bangladesh Zoo Resembles Donald Trump

Visitors to a Bangladesh zoo have been captivated by a buffalo with an unusual hairstyle that reminds many of President Donald Trump. The rare albino buffalo, endearingly nicknamed “Donald Trump,” owes its popularity to a blond tuft of hair, sparking a sensation both online and at the zoo.

The buffalo first gained public attention when a local farmer noted its resemblance to the former U.S. president. A video of the pale, horned creature quickly spread across social media platforms. This viral attention has led to increased visits to the farm outside Dhaka where the buffalo was initially housed.

A significant moment in the buffalo’s journey occurred when it was originally set to be sold and slaughtered during Eid al-Adha, known as the Muslim “Feast of Sacrifice.” However, government officials intervened, opting to transfer the animal to the national zoo in the capital. Since then, the buffalo has attracted curious crowds and sparked discussions about its nickname.

Many visitors find amusement in the comparison. “There is a resemblance to Donald Trump in its eyes, hairstyle, and skin color,” remarked Mohammed Nasim, a student from Dhaka, during an interview. “Similar to Donald Trump’s distinct personality, this buffalo, after going viral, has been enjoying attention and special treatment,” he added.

Initially, the zoo showcased a sign labeling the animal as “Donald Trump,” but the sign has been removed following public discussion. The zoo’s curator was later dismissed, although officials did not clarify the reasons behind the dismissal.

Despite the ongoing fascination with the buffalo, opinions on naming it after a world leader vary. Some argue the comparison is inappropriate and disrespectful. “Naming a farm animal after one of the world’s influential leaders was certainly the wrong decision,” stated local resident Mohammad Joynal Adedin. Despite his reservations, Adedin visited the zoo to witness the buffalo firsthand, joining others in photographing and recording the popular animal.
