President Donald Trump has floated the idea of hosting a gathering of former presidents at the White House to enjoy a football game together. During an episode of the “Storytime with the Second Lady” podcast, Trump shared his thoughts with Usha Vance, wife of Vice President JD Vance.

While going through a book illustrating presidents watching the Super Bowl at the White House, Trump said, “Maybe I should invite Barack Hussein Obama, Joe Biden, with the Bushes — or Bush. Maybe I should invite some of those people to watch a football game together.” The prospect of such an event led Vance to comment, “A president reunion? That would be fun!”

The podcast features Usha Vance interviewing guests as they read children’s stories on YouTube. The lineup includes figures like Danica Patrick and the Artemis II astronauts, with Trump appearing to narrate “Presidents Play!” a publication by the White House Historical Association detailing the hobbies of past presidents.

Instead of sticking to the text, Trump added humor to stories about various presidents. On encountering a page about William Howard Taft playing baseball, Trump commented, “He was a large man, very large. And he loved baseball. He’d go to baseball games, loved the hot dogs at the baseball games.” He joked about not wanting to surpass Taft’s record as the heaviest president.

Another moment involved Trump reflecting on President Bill Clinton, shown jogging on a track he had built during his presidency. Trump acknowledged, “That’s nice. I didn’t even know that until recently, but he had a track built at the White House. I like Bill Clinton a lot. I still do.”

While several former presidents, including George W. Bush, Clinton, and Biden, gathered at Obama’s presidential center opening, Trump was notably absent from the event. Despite previous tensions with Obama, he considered inviting him back for the proposed reunion.
