Trey McBride Rises to No. 13 on NFL Top 100 List

Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals has climbed the NFL Top 100 list, reaching No. 13 overall. This ranking is determined by the votes of fellow active NFL players.

During a Cardinals media session at the training camp, McBride expressed his excitement about the higher placement. “It’s very cool,” he remarked, reflecting on the significant jump from last year’s 65th overall ranking.

“I’ve known for probably three months that I was at that spot, so it’s been cool, just the anticipation of everyone not knowing,” McBride shared with reporters. “To be the 13th—some of those names in front of me, some behind me, there’s some really good players.”

McBride emphasized the honor of receiving such recognition from his peers in the league. He described the ranking as a “dream come true.”

McBride’s impressive rise comes after a standout season with the Cardinals. Selected in the second round of the 2022 draft, he achieved career-highs with 126 receptions, 1,239 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns last season. This performance earned him a second Pro Bowl appearance.

At 26, McBride is emerging as one of the top tight ends in the sport. With icons like Rob Gronkowski retired and Travis Kelce nearing retirement, McBride has the opportunity to establish himself further.

This season marks McBride’s first without Kyler Murray at quarterback. Murray left the Cardinals to join the Minnesota Vikings, with veteran Jacoby Brissett stepping in as the new QB1. The addition of running back Jeremiyah Love, a high first-round draft pick, signals a strategic shift in Arizona’s offense.

The upcoming season will reveal if McBride maintains his level of performance or faces challenges.
