TikTok Influencer and Estranged Husband Found Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide

TikTok influencer Sara Gilson, known online as Sara Duffey, and her estranged husband were found shot to death in her Oklahoma residence. The authorities are investigating the case as a potential murder-suicide.

Weeks prior to their deaths, Gilson accused her husband, Jeremiah ‘Shawn’ Duffey, of being a pedophile in a TikTok video. In the video posted on July 11, she referenced the possibility of a documentary being made about her husband. This video remained visible on her channel as of last Saturday.

On July 24, police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 41-year-old Gilson’s home. Upon arrival, officers discovered both Gilson and Duffey dead from gunshot wounds. A family member identified the deceased and suggested that Duffey had broken into the home, killed Gilson, and then himself.

The police confirmed the identities of those found but have not officially classified the incident as a murder-suicide. They also assured the public there is no immediate threat.

A juvenile in the house reportedly placed the 911 call that alerted the authorities to the situation.

Gilson had previously filed protective orders against Duffey. The latest one, dated June 10, required Duffey to stay at least 100 yards away from her. On the same day, another woman sought a protective order after Duffey allegedly engaged in inappropriate conduct with her 15-year-old daughter, who was part of his basketball team. Reports suggest Duffey sent inappropriate messages and attempted to silence the girl with money.

Despite filing protective orders, Gilson failed to appear in court for hearings, leading to previous orders being dismissed. The couple had children together.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Owasso Police Department for further information on this case.
