Taylor Swift has found her lifelong partner, marrying NFL star Travis Kelce on July 3. The couple celebrated their union with a grand ceremony at Madison Square Garden, hosting around 1,000 guests over multiple days.
The journey of Swift and Kelce began in the summer of 2023, developing to an engagement in August 2025.
Adam Sandler had the honor of officiating their ceremony, confirming the union of both families, as reported by People magazine. Sandler formed a bond with Kelce after the latter appeared in “Happy Gilmore 2” and on the “New Heights” podcast.
Notably, the couple chose not to have traditional bridal party attendants. Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “Man of Honor.” Kelce’s brother, Jason, took the role of “Best Man.”
Their attire for the occasion was custom-designed by Christian Dior Haute Couture. Jonathan Anderson, the Creative Director, worked closely with Swift and Kelce to create their looks. This marked Dior’s first couture wedding dress for a celebrity. Their footwear was specially created by Christian Louboutin and Swift accessorized with Cartier jewelry.
Swift has consistently maintained privacy regarding her relationships. While the couple’s early timeline remains vague, Swift was initially seen at a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023. In an interview with Time magazine, she revealed, “We had already been dating well before the public spotted us together. We got the chance to truly connect away from the spotlight.”
Kelce humorously shared an anecdote on his “New Heights” podcast about trying to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour in Kansas City. Although unsuccessful, this gesture highlighted the origins of their connection.
Swift and Kelce further discussed their relationship on his podcast, revealing how they met and laughed about using the podcast as a “personal dating app.” Swift noted how Kelce didn’t use traditional methods, instead relying on his rapport with friends to gain closer contact with her.
The romance moved further when Kelce joined Swift on stage during the Eras Tour, marking a key moment in their relationship.
Following the release of an episode of the “New Heights” podcast featuring Swift, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. Swift expressed her joy, humorously stating, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” while showcasing photos of the intimate proposal.
Kelce acknowledged Swift’s music as a guide in their relationship, claiming, “Listening to her songs gave me all the hints I needed on how to win her over.”
