FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott entered the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame at an event held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. This ceremony recognizes pioneers and influential figures in the media industry. Scott joined Fox News in 1996 and has held key roles before becoming CEO in 2018.
Bill Hemmer, a host for Fox News, co-hosted the event with Will Reeve from ABC and Vlad Duthiers from CBS. Hemmer introduced Scott, highlighting her oversight of platforms like the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and more. ‘THE FIVE’ has led cable news ratings for its 20th consecutive quarter, surpassing CNN and MSNBC combined.
A video tribute included support from Lachlan Murdoch, Executive Chair of Fox Corporation, who praised Scott’s leadership. Dana Perino, co-host of ‘The Five’, noted Scott’s role in breaking barriers for women in media. Murdoch credited Scott’s focus on business excellence over personal accolades.
Scott expressed her gratitude, attributing her success to the Fox News team and thanked Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch for supporting free speech. Under her leadership, Fox News has consistently led cable ratings. Scott emphasized the importance of behind-the-camera teams and acknowledged company leaders like Jay Wallace and Sean Hannity for their contributions.
In expanding FOX News Media’s offerings, Scott launched FOX Nation, FOX News International, and FOX Weather. She also refreshed various Fox digital platforms and introduced FOX News Books. Her efforts in innovative content delivery keep audiences engaged.
Scott’s induction into the Hall of Fame reflects her impact on the industry. Other inductees included personalities like Andy Cohen, Wolf Blitzer, Stephen A. Smith, and Bobby Flay, joining past honorees including Oprah Winfrey and Walter Cronkite.
