A viral video featuring a large elk breaking a car window is circulating widely on Instagram. The elk’s impact is likened to an NFL linebacker tackling a running back. This event took place in Estes Park, Colorado, an area renowned for its elk population.

Many viewers shared their reactions in the video’s comments. One person humorously remarked that the driver was from Kansas, suggesting that nothing valuable was lost. Another advised, “Stay clear in the rut season!” A third commented on the potential insurance issues, suggesting that the insurance should cover damages and even recommended suing the elk.

The footage sparks amusement at the thought of explaining to an insurance company that an elk destroyed a car window. The area is common for elk sightings, especially as they forage during the rut season.

This incident underscores the unique challenges wildlife can present to humans, especially in locations where animal populations are significant.
