Rep. Ralph Norman Supports Senator Darline Graham for South Carolina Senate Seat

Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina expressed his support for Sen. Darline Graham in the upcoming U.S. Senate general election in a post on X. Norman emphasized that his opposition is not against fellow Republicans, but against socialist Democrats and RINOs who assist them. He acknowledged the decision of South Carolina voters and congratulated Senator Graham on securing the Republican nomination, reaffirming his intention to support the Republican nominee. He views defeating Democrats and safeguarding conservative values as paramount priorities.

Governor Henry McMaster appointed Graham, who is the sister of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, to fill the Senate vacancy after her brother’s death. Backed by President Donald Trump, Graham defeated Norman in the special Republican U.S. Senate primary runoff in South Carolina last August. The endorsement from Trump contributed significantly to Graham’s strong performance in the runoff election.

A few days after losing the runoff, Norman reiterated his commitment to support Senator Graham to the best of his ability. However, when questioned earlier about his willingness to campaign for Graham, he voiced concerns regarding her campaign funding sources, specifying support from liberal PACs and figures like Lisa Murkowski.

Sen. Darline Graham engaged with supporters during a campaign event at the Green Boundary Club in Aiken, South Carolina, where she spoke on August 24, 2026. Fox News Digital attempted to reach Graham’s campaign and Murkowski’s office for comments, but did not receive immediate responses. Meanwhile, Dr. Annie Andrews stands as the Democratic nominee opposing Graham in the general election.
