Reality TV Stars’ Children Face Legal Issues

Teresa Giudice, a star from the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey,’ recently addressed an incident involving her daughter Milania at Tampa International Airport. Teresa claimed that Milania had ‘fentanyl in her system.’ Milania, who is 20, had previously been arrested on an assault charge in New Jersey related to a different incident.

This situation is not unique among children of reality TV stars who capture headlines for controversies outside the show. Milania was caught in bodycam footage obtained by Page Six during an altercation at a Florida airport. Teresa attempted to explain her daughter’s behavior during the encounter. In the footage, Milania stated, ‘Cause I was laced … I go to college,’ with her sister Gia remarking, ‘You’re reckless.’

The timing of the fentanyl incident remains unclear, along with the substance allegedly given to Milania. In the footage, Milania asked to speak with her mother as an officer instructed her to sit down, pointing out she was ‘not controlling the situation.’

After the footage was released, Teresa publicly emphasized the importance of her daughter’s well-being during a challenging period following personal trauma. Teresa highlighted that Milania was getting the love and support she needed. Milania pleaded not guilty to an assault charge, with her next court date set for December 1.

In another instance involving reality TV families, KJ Biermann, son of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, was indicted in Georgia on multiple charges, including aggravated sodomy and sexual battery. His legal troubles began with an arrest in August stemming from an alleged incident in April, though Kim Zolciak publicly denied the allegations against her son.

KJ received a $200,000 bond, and his family situation has been further complicated with his parents filing for divorce after 11 years of marriage. KJ is the oldest son of the couple, who have adopted children together. Their family also faced previous legal issues when NeNe Leakes’ son Bryson Bryant, connected to KJ’s family’s show, was involved in various legal incidents, including contempt of court and a probation violation related to a drug offense.

Likewise, ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ alum Alexa Curtin dealt with her own legal challenges. In 2021, she received a 68-day jail sentence for multiple charges and faced a probation period. She had been previously charged with misdemeanors and drug-related offenses. Curtin has since revealed that her life on the reality show contributed to her addiction as the public scrutiny was difficult for her.

These incidents highlight how reality TV families face complex challenges in the public eye, impacting their children’s lives and decisions.
