Prince Harry will visit London next week but without his wife Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, according to a source close to him. The source disclosed that Meghan and the children will not join Harry on the London leg of his trip to the U.K., despite initial expectations of a family return after four years.

The remainder of the trip remains uncertain. The family may still visit the U.K., possibly staying outside London, as plans are still being determined. Harry’s visit coincides with preparations for the next year’s Invictus Games, which the prince launched in 2014 to support injured veterans. Scheduled from July 10 to 17, 2027, the games mark a significant event in Harry’s itinerary.

During his multiday visit, Prince Harry will attend other engagements related to his charitable work. Reports from The Sun suggest security concerns are the reason for Meghan not accompanying Harry to a planned hospital visit in London.

Previously, Harry expressed concerns regarding his family’s safety during U.K. visits post-royal departure. He lost a court case in an attempt to restore complete police protection for his family. Currently, security arrangements for the upcoming visit remain unsettled, with Buckingham Palace not providing extra security according to the BBC.

Harry and Meghan relocated to North America in 2020, stepping down from royal duties following family conflicts exacerbated by Harry’s memoir “Spare” and legal issues in the U.K. Reconciliation with King Charles III remains unconfirmed as Harry might not meet his father, who is undergoing cancer treatment.

The prince last saw King Charles in September 2025 at Clarence House. Their relationship continues to navigate through complex dynamics amidst public scrutiny.
