New York Law and the 14th Amendment: A Controversy

To provide comfort to the impoverished terminally ill was the goal envisioned by Rose Hawthorne Lathrop when she founded a community of Catholic Dominican sisters in 1900. This group, known as the Servants of Relief for Incurable Cancer, continues its mission today. They operate from Rosary Hill Home, a 42-bed nursing facility located in Hawthorne, New York.
