Victoria Zardoya, a 20-year-old woman from New Jersey, tragically died while visiting Florida. Reports state that she was on a vacation with friends and touring historic ruins when the incident occurred.
Zardoya’s friends say she fell during a visit to Fort Dade on Egmont Key, Florida. This remote island is located at the entrance of Tampa Bay and is only accessible by boat.
Zardoya was known to be a close friend of Milania Guidice, the daughter of Teresa Guidice, a star from “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Many, including the Guidice family, have been expressing their condolences on social media.
Victoria Silberbusch, a friend of Zardoya, detailed the event on social media. She stated that Zardoya fell from the ruins while the group was on a boating tour of the island.
Silberbusch described Zardoya’s injuries as severe and noted that friends acted quickly to help. They contacted emergency services and used flares to alert paramedics, who eventually arrived by boat. A medical helicopter transported Zardoya to a hospital.
Despite these efforts, Zardoya succumbed to her injuries two days later. Silberbusch emphasized that Zardoya was never left alone and that everyone did their best to assist her.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reportedly responded to an incident at Fort Dade on the day in question. The call was logged before 5 p.m. and resolved by 11:16 p.m.
