Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox showed signs of progress in his injury rehabilitation effort on Wednesday. Playing for Triple-A Charlotte, Murakami managed an RBI double in his second rehab game.

Murakami participated fully in the game, ending with a 1-for-4 performance. He accumulated one RBI, one walk, and one run during the team’s 6-3 defeat to Nashville in Charlotte.

His noteworthy RBI double in the first inning was aimed at center field. However, Murakami then made several outs, flying out to left field in the third inning and popping out to shortstop in the sixth. Later, he drew a walk in the eighth inning and successfully scored from second base on a single. His game concluded with a groundout to second base for the final out in the ninth.

Murakami’s current stats from two games with the Knights show him at 2-for-7, with one RBI and one walk.

Prior to the game, Sox manager Will Venable expressed positivity about Murakami’s progress, mentioning favorable feedback from the previous game. Venable noted Murakami’s recovery and effective performance on the field.

Murakami had been absent due to a right hamstring strain since May 30. Venable highlighted that Murakami’s situation remains under daily assessment.
