Motor City Machine Guns Make AEW Debut in Detroit

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley appeared for the first time in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) during the recent episode of “Collision” held in Detroit, the hometown of the renowned tag team. Known as the Motor City Machine Guns, they entered AEW claiming the company hosts the best wrestling talent.

Sabin and Shelley, veterans in tag team wrestling, made a confident statement. “Did you think we wouldn’t be here? No place matches the greatest city in civilization,” Sabin expressed. He emphasized their 20-year connection to Detroit, where they have showcased their skills.

Their impact was immediate as Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, and Juice Robinson, known as the Bang Bang Gang, faced an attack by Clark Connors and David Finlay after an eight-man tag match. The Motor City Machine Guns rushed to support them, solidifying their presence in the ring.

Recognized as one of the most successful tag teams, Sabin and Shelley have competed in WWE, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Ring of Honor, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. They have claimed tag team titles in every organization. Their recent WWE stint lasted nearly two years until their departure in April.

Now part of AEW, Sabin and Shelley’s arrival strengthens the company’s tag team roster, bringing their esteemed legacy to a new frontier.
