Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL Pro Bowler and sports commentator, was arrested for domestic battery on Saturday. Law enforcement records show the arrest was made by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Wiley, aged 51, is currently being held without bond. Details surrounding the arrest have not been released.
In the previous months, Wiley faced scrutiny following accusations by four women, as reported by Rolling Stone. These allegations include claims of sexual assault dating back to April 2026. The magazine also noted that Wiley had been previously accused of sexual misconduct during his time at Columbia University, where he played college football.
Wiley addressed these earlier accusations on his podcast, “More To It with Marcellus Wiley,” disputing the claims and asserting he possessed evidence to counter the allegations. He labeled the accusations from his Columbia days as baseless.
Among those raising claims against Wiley are two women, who allege incidents occurred between 1995 and 1999. Additionally, another woman accused Wiley of a long-term pattern of grooming beginning when she was 13. This reportedly culminated in an alleged rape when she turned 18, during Wiley’s tenure with the Cowboys.
Furthermore, a former ESPN production assistant claimed Wiley misled her into a hotel room meeting, which allegedly resulted in sexual assault in 2009. This event reportedly continues to have lasting impacts on the victim.
Wiley’s wife, Annemarie Wiley, known for her involvement in “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” has not publicly commented on the recent developments.
Marcellus Wiley was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1997, being the 52nd overall pick. He achieved a Pro Bowl selection in 2001 while playing for the San Diego Chargers. His NFL career included stints with the Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars, concluding in 2006.
