Man Wanted for Two Fatal Shootings in New York City

Authorities seek a man involved in fatal shootings in New York City. The NYPD identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jesus Acosta, connected to two incidents in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Bronx Incident

The first incident occurred around 12:16 a.m. at 149 Grill & Deli on East 149th Street. The suspect approached a 33-year-old man, shooting him multiple times in the chest. After the attack, the suspect took cash from the register and escaped. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital but later died from his injuries. The case is now classified as a homicide.

Brooklyn Shooting

Earlier, another shooting happened at American Best Wings & Pizza on Rockaway Avenue in Brooklyn. Police responded to reports of an assault and found a 44-year-old man shot in the head and a 39-year-old man with a leg wound. Both were transported to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital. The older man was pronounced dead, while the younger man remains in stable condition.

Suspect Details and Investigation

The suspect, Jesus Acosta, is described as 5 feet 11 inches and weighing 175 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has the word “Bronx” tattooed on his hand and the name “Bobby” tattooed on his left forearm. The NYPD released surveillance images of Acosta and seeks the public’s assistance in locating him.
