Messina Touring Group, responsible for promoting Ed Sheeran’s tour, has announced that Macklemore will not be allowed to perform at the tour venues. The decision follows Macklemore’s recent social media post expressing pro-Palestine views.

Macklemore, a rapper famous for early 2010s hits such as “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us,” had been set to open for Ed Sheeran. However, Sheeran and his team decided to remove him from the lineup due to his statements.

The incident highlights the potential impact public statements can have on professional engagements in the music industry.
