Grand Canyon Flood Aftermath
The National Park Service had issued a warning about heightened flood risk at the Grand Canyon following the destruction caused by a megafire. The recent floods claimed at least two lives, with one person still missing. One victim identified is Texas chiropractor John Giusti. Recovery efforts are ongoing.
The Dragon Bravo megafire in July 2025 burned nearly 150,000 acres within the park. It particularly affected the North Kaibab Trail area. Tom Martin, an expert on the Grand Canyon, noted that the fire left vulnerable areas due to stripped vegetation. Increased fire hazards due to climate change are amplifying flood threats in the region.
Massachusetts Primary Elections

Additionally, other senior Democrats, such as Rep. Stephen Lynch and Rep. Richard Neal, are up against younger opponents. Dan Koh, endorsed by prominent national figures, is favored to succeed Moulton in the House.

Army Secretary Dan Driscoll plans to resign after his resignation was accepted by the White House. His departure follows earlier exits of other high-ranking Defense Department officials. Though respected bipartisanly, Driscoll had disagreements with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over officer promotions.
