Israel Intensifies Campaign Against Hezbollah with Strikes Across Lebanon

Israel has escalated its military operations against Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group. On Tuesday, Israeli forces targeted several locations across Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the military to “increase the blows” against Hezbollah.

The Israeli military reported hitting over 100 sites linked to Hezbollah in southern and eastern Lebanon. These included weapons storage facilities and command centers. In addition, an evacuation alert for the city of Nabatieh was issued, indicating upcoming airstrikes.

One of the affected areas was Mashghara in the Bekaa Valley. The strikes there resulted in at least 11 casualties, including two children, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. The Israeli military has not yet commented on this specific attack.

Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized the conflict in a video statement. He declared, “We are at war with Hezbollah,” and urged the military to intensify their efforts.

This surge in violence follows events dating back to March when Hezbollah launched rockets in response to a U.S.-Israeli offensive against Iran. Although a U.S.-mediated cease-fire commenced in April, sporadic attacks have persisted, with both sides blaming each other for violations.

Currently, tensions are rising as potential diplomatic progress emerges. President Trump and Iranian officials have shown signs of moving towards a resolution regarding the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran.
