Israel Continues Gaza Strikes Amid Peace Plan Rejection

Since last October, Israel has persistently launched strikes on the Gaza Strip, even after agreeing to a ceasefire. Israeli forces maintain control over significant parts of the region.

On July 28, U.S. President Donald Trump met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. During this meeting, Israel’s rejection of a 15-point plan for Gaza, proposed by Trump’s Board of Peace, was confirmed by Netanyahu. The Prime Minister stated that Israeli forces will stay in the area until Hamas completely disarms.

Last month, Trump declared a breakthrough in his efforts to end the conflict. Both Israel and Hamas had agreed to a peace plan that coincided with the ceasefire.

Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel has persisted with its military actions in Gaza. Trump revealed that Hamas, which had governed Gaza for nearly 20 years, had agreed to disarm following their October 7, 2023, attack on Israel that initiated the recent Gaza conflict.
