Introduction of TNA Knockouts Television Championship at Slammiversary

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) unveiled the Knockouts Television Championship at the Slammiversary event held in Boston. TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks appeared after Elayna Black’s victory against Indi Hartwell and Mara Sadè in the pre-show, marking the beginning of the festivities.

“The TNA Knockouts, over two decades, have changed the landscape of pro wrestling,” Brooks stated. “The TNA Knockouts initiated the women’s revolution. We shattered glass ceilings, rewrote the rules, and created opportunities, continually proving our place on the biggest stage. Now, it’s time to make history once again.”

A 16-woman tournament is scheduled to start this Thursday night, culminating in the crowning of the inaugural TNA Knockout Television Champion.

The championship belt, displayed with “KO” and “TV” in purple and black lettering, brings excitement to the competition. While the participants have not been announced, Black, Hartwell, and Sadè may be contenders for the title contest on “Impact.”

Brooks continued, “This championship will be defended exclusively on ‘Impact’ television. To my knockouts, it’s an opportunity yet again to demonstrate that you form the greatest women’s division in professional wrestling. Ladies, let’s make history.”

Currently, TNA hosts six active championships, with the Knockouts TV Championship slated to be its seventh.
