Washington DC witnessed the excitement of the Indycar Grand Prix for the first time. Drivers raced around a specially designed course in the nation’s capital. The track encompassed the iconic National Mall, drawing thousands of spectators to the stands.

President Trump attended the event, adding to the day’s thrill by taking a pre-race lap around the course in ‘The Beast,’ the Presidential limousine.

The Post dispatched photographer Michael Noble Jr. to cover the event, while wire service photographers positioned themselves at various locations along the course to capture the dynamic scenes.
