The tour, announced in Huntington alongside Marshall University’s President Brad Smith, will cover four counties over two days. The announcement came with minimal notice.

West Virginia, particularly this region, has faced ongoing challenges with water quality. This initiative aims to gather resident feedback crucial for potential policy improvements.

Governor Morrisey spoke at a press conference held in Charleston in January 2024. The goal of the tour is to connect directly with citizens affected by water quality issues and understand their concerns.
