Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C. Teased by President Trump

President Donald Trump shared a video on social media teasing the upcoming Freedom 250 Grand Prix. The event is scheduled for next month on the streets of Washington, D.C.

The video, lasting one minute, was posted on Truth Social on Wednesday. It features shots of IndyCar drivers racing on a track located on the National Mall. Iconic landmarks such as the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument are also visible in the footage.

Trump captioned the post with “FREEDOM 250 GRAND PRIX” and included emojis of a race car, along with the U.S. and checkered flags.

On Monday, the president hosted IndyCar drivers at the White House for a showcase event. This was part of an effort to promote the race, which is planned to coincide with America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

Trump told reporters, “It’ll be one of the most unforgettable racing events the world has ever seen.”

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix is set to take place on August 22 and 23.

This is a developing story with more updates to follow.
