Police body camera footage reveals the arrest of a Canadian woman in Florida after deputies found fraudulent identification cards in her vehicle. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister shared the video, showing the events leading to the arrest on July 29.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle in Tampa due to malfunctioning taillights and tag lights. The driver, identified as Bryce Swanson, 28, initially claimed her name was Brianna Valenzuela. She also stated she had a driver’s license but didn’t have it with her.

Swanson’s inconsistent information raised suspicions. Sheriff Chronister noted on social media, ‘Swanson told deputies she did not have an ID and had never possessed a valid driver’s license, after initially claiming she did.’

A search of her vehicle led deputies to discover 12 driver’s licenses, all with her photo but different names and birthdates. Authorities confirmed Swanson is a Canadian national who overstayed her visa.

The bodycam footage captures the deputy’s skepticism as Swanson claimed she lived in New York but carried no New York ID. ‘Your story’s not making a lot of sense to me, right?’ the deputy expressed.

The search unveiled several fraudulent ID cards. A deputy remarked in the video, ‘All these are fake,’ and promptly arrested Swanson.

She was taken to the Orient Road Jail, facing charges for driving without a valid license and providing a false name to law enforcement. Jail records show she is held without bond due to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
