In a response to sports personality Emmanuel Acho, Carrington clarified she never called her foul on Sophie Cunningham “White privilege.” She stated, “I’ve never once claimed that the assessment of the foul was white privilege (that was your assumption).” She challenged Acho to use critical thinking in understanding her post.

Further explaining her position, Carrington, a Stanford and Baylor graduate, emphasized, “I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon.” She urged for comprehensive research on the subject before making assumptions.

The mystery remains about the true intent of Carrington’s Threads post. It is unclear if her remarks were directed at Cunningham or another entity like the Fever organization or the WNBA. Fox News Digital sought comment from Carrington’s representative but received no response.
