House Democrats are engaging in a counterprogramming effort during the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas. This convention prominently highlights President Donald Trump’s accomplishments. In response, several Democratic representatives are addressing Texas voters about key issues affecting their lives, such as affordability and economic concerns.

Rep. Robert Garcia from California referred to the GOP event as a “two-day party” celebrating President Trump’s record. The Democratic presence in Dallas aims to bring attention to their ongoing investigations into Trump and other significant matters, including the long-running investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile.

Their discussions focus on presenting Democratic initiatives aimed at regaining control of the House. They emphasize their commitment to addressing pressing economic issues, offering an alternative narrative to what is presented at the Republican convention.
