Fast forward to now, and players are busy between commitments, while fans face the dilemma of choosing from numerous events and panels across Chicago.

Despite Barack Obama, Dwyane Wade, and Jayson Tatum attending the events, the absence of Chicago Sky’s players was stark. The Sky did not have representation in any official All-Star event. Their training facility’s delayed opening in 2026 compounded their absence. Injuries, such as Rickea Jackson’s ACL tear, disrupted player participation plans.
