Benjamin Satterley, celebrated as Pac in All Elite Wrestling and as Neville in WWE, was a focal point during a recent episode of ‘Monday Night Raw.’ Wrestler Penta subtly honored Satterley during a tag team match by displaying ‘Pac’ on his left boot. This gesture coincided with AEW’s announcement of Satterley’s tragic passing at the age of 40.
During Monday Night Raw, WWE broadcasted a tribute graphic for Satterley, acknowledging his contributions to professional wrestling. Satterley and Penta shared the ring in AEW as opponents and competed at least once in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
AEW announced, ‘All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. As a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004, captivating fans with his remarkable high-flying moves and in-ring prowess.’ His career was marked by championships and iconic matches after joining AEW in 2019. AEW extended condolences to his family, friends, and fans.
Satterley passed away hours after competing against Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at the event ‘All Out.’ The Des Plaines Police Department confirmed no indications of foul play, with his death deemed not suspicious. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death. He was found unresponsive outside a CAVA restaurant, reported dead on arrival by responding officials.
Notably, Satterley was among the first wrestlers to sign with AEW in 2019, securing two trios titles and the inaugural all-Atlantic championship. His success extended back to WWE as a two-time cruiserweight, NXT, and NXT tag team champion.
