“The play was called correctly…Thankfully, Sophie is okay,” White noted. “Was it egregious? Absolutely.”

White explained that she hadn’t seen the foul in real time due to attending a press conference immediately after the game. This clarified her Saturday night silence but not the aftermath.

When questioned about Caitlin Clark’s treatment in the WNBA, White defended her record of supporting players.
