New Owner Finds Remains in Foreclosed Connecticut House

A new homeowner in Burlington, Connecticut, reported a shocking discovery inside a foreclosed house days after purchasing it. The buyer found skeletal remains of three individuals within the property, raising questions for both local authorities and the community.

According to the State Police, the remains were found by the new owner on June 14. At this stage, authorities have not identified the deceased and have not yet determined their causes of death. However, the police noted that there is no current evidence suggesting criminal activity, and the deaths seem to be isolated incidents.

The foreclosed property, a Cape Cod-style home built in 2002, was auctioned and sold on June 6 for $525,000. Edward Marchion successfully placed the winning bid, as reflected in court records. He has not provided any public comments regarding the incident as of yet.

Before foreclosure, the previous owners, Paul and Sally Anne Cash, had secured a loan close to $400,000 with Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. The property’s market value was listed at $820,000, showing a significant difference in the auction price. Edward Marchion placed an $82,000 deposit toward the purchase.
