Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with Fox News about shifts in the war dynamics between Ukraine and Russia. He stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has lost the initiative, citing Ukraine’s advancements in military technology.

During an interview with Sean Hannity, Zelenskyy reflected on the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s support for Ukraine. He mentioned how Ukraine has established a strong military technology industry, with 500 companies developing advanced technologies.

“Since the beginning of the war, when Putin said that he will occupy us during two, three days, now we build a great mil-tech industry,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian president described the conflict as an innovation race, highlighting the need for constant strategy adaptation as weapons like drones require updates to maintain efficacy. He emphasized the importance of being quicker in technological advancements than Russia, stating, “We have to change technologies.”

Ukraine’s ability to strike deep within Russia and disrupt the power grid in Russian-occupied Crimea has shifted momentum in favor of Ukraine. Zelenskyy noted, “Putin is losing 30,000 soldiers per month.” Despite these losses, Putin remains uninterested in a ceasefire or dialogue.

Zelenskyy continues to push for negotiations to finalize a resolution, but Putin has not engaged in talks since 2020. The Ukrainian leader expressed his desire for a ceasefire to allow diplomatic negotiations.

Much of the interview focused on Sen. Lindsey Graham, whom Zelenskyy described as an early and strong supporter of Ukraine. Graham visited Ukraine 10 times during the full-scale Russian invasion, providing insights into the battlefield and local conditions.

Zelenskyy praised the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, which has advanced through the Senate and aims to impose sanctions on those supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Zelenskyy met with President Donald Trump to discuss expanding defense cooperation. Trump agreed to provide licenses for Ukraine to produce American-designed patriot missiles domestically, with the meeting described as successful by both parties.
