The World Cup returns to the United States for the first time in 32 years. Set to host alongside Canada and Mexico, the U.S. Men’s National Team enters the tournament, starting with their first match on the second day.
The U.S. men’s team last played in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after missing the 2018 tournament in Russia. In this tournament, the U.S. competes in Group D, with matches scheduled as follows:
- June 12: U.S. vs. Paraguay, 9 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California.
- June 17: U.S. vs. Australia, 3 p.m. ET at Lumen Field, Seattle.
- June 25: U.S. vs. Turkey, 10 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California.
Following the group stage, the knockout stage begins on June 28. The top two teams from each group, and the eight best third-place finishers, move on to the round of 32. The U.S.’s progress in the knockout stage depends on their group-stage performance.
If the U.S. wins Group D, they will play on July 1 at 8 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California. If they finish as runners-up, they will play on July 3 at 2 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium, Dallas.
The round of 16 runs from July 4 to July 7, followed by quarterfinals on July 9 and 10. Semifinals occur on July 14, and the World Cup final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The tournament will feature 48 teams, playing 104 matches over 39 days.
