Nosková’s Decisive Move Forward

Linda Nosková, a 21-year-old from the Czech Republic, has reached her first Grand Slam semifinal at Wimbledon. Facing Elise Mertens, Nosková controlled the match from the start. Her serves and groundstrokes were overpowering, keeping Mertens defensive for much of the encounter. However, Nosková faced challenges converting break points due to near-misses.

Displaying resilience, Nosková made exceptional passing shots and strategic plays to secure a 6-3, 7-5 victory. Her consistency led her to break Mertens in the 11th game, serving out the match with confidence. Next, she will face 12th-seed Marta Kostyuk, who recently defeated last year’s finalist Jasmine Paolini.
