Vice President JD Vance shared blunt opinions on several political figures in a short TikTok video. He labeled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., as a “communist,” and called Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., “lame.” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was described as “crazy.”
The video featured Vance reacting to names flashing on the screen. His responses varied from approving to critical. He seemed unimpressed with far-left Democrats, referring to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as “cranky” and Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed as “odd.” When Sen. Adam Schiff’s name appeared, Vance remarked, “I mean, nothing,” dismissing him as “irrelevant.”
The TikTok quickly gained traction, with over 70,000 views. When it came to members of the Trump administration, Vance shared positive remarks. He called the outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt “awesome,” praised deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller as “hardcore,” and described White House chief of staff Susie Wiles as “tough.” Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was labeled “interesting,” while Secretary of State Marco Rubio was “funny.” House Speaker Mike Johnson was described as “kind.”
Vance did not comment when Democratic Socialists of America leader Megan Romer’s name was mentioned. Trump’s name brought a warm response. Vance described Trump as “generous.” The video provided a glimpse into Vance’s relationships within the administration and showcased his critical stance on certain far-left policies.
Fox News Digital reached out to Vance’s office to verify the identities mentioned in the video and gather additional context. They also contacted the Democrats and administration officials named in the video for comment.
