Frankfort police reported a tragic event involving a two-year-old found unresponsive in a Frankfort home on Tuesday. The child later passed away at a hospital, with officials indicating it was an apparent domestic-related homicide.

Authorities disclosed that officers discovered the child’s mother at the residence on the 22700 block of Brook Stone Court. She was attempting self-harm and was subsequently taken to a hospital with injuries not deemed life-threatening.

Emergency responders arrived at 4:04 p.m. and performed CPR on the child, who was also transported to a hospital for further medical attention. Unfortunately, the child was later pronounced dead.
