Two Deaths Reported at Burning Man Festival

Two men passed away within a day at the Burning Man festival as thousands gathered in the Nevada desert for the event’s final days. The deceased men were identified, and their deaths occurred under different circumstances.

Details of the Deaths

One of the deceased was Craigh Mann, aged 60, found dead by his campmates on Saturday afternoon. His body was discovered around 3 p.m. at his camp in Black Rock City, part of the festival grounds.

A second participant in his mid-50s had faced a medical emergency the day before. He was initially treated onsite but was later pronounced dead at the festival’s emergency care center. His name has not been released as his family has not been notified.

The Burning Man Project expressed their sorrow and extended condolences to the family, friends, and campmates affected by these losses.

The organizers emphasized the importance of community safety and well-being and assured that support resources are available at all times for attendees in Black Rock City, a temporary city created annually for the festival.
