Trump Proposes Renaming AI to ‘Super Intelligence’

Trump stated that the United States rejects efforts to impose a unified global strategy for managing what he terms ‘super intelligence.’ He emphasized that the updated terminology better reflects the technology’s potential.

Currently, super intelligence is recognized as a form of AI that surpasses human capabilities. It is a primary objective for cutting-edge AI developers and a major concern for experts who worry about its potential risks. Trump’s remarks occur at a time when public anxiety over AI is escalating. This follows warnings from former AI researchers about the technology’s potential dangers.
