A man identified as Justin Sislo is accused of killing his parents in a murder-suicide in Madison, New York. Deputies reported that the incident occurred on Friday.

Steve Sislo, 76, and Donna Walker-Sislo, 72, were the victims. They were discovered dead in their home on McCormick Road. Justin Sislo is suspected of taking his own life after committing the murders.

“While observing the residence from the exterior, the first responding Deputy observed two adult subjects, obviously deceased, through a main level window. Upon making entry to the home, a third adult subject was located deceased inside,” stated the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that the couple had recently paid $10,000 to bail their son out of jail. He was facing charges related to domestic violence and had been arrested numerous times. This was the second time in a month they had bailed him out.

Investigators discovered the Sislo family dead inside their home on Friday. Reports describe this tragedy as a murder-suicide. Authorities found several guns at Justin Sislo’s residence during an earlier arrest.

Sislo’s father, Steve Sislo, was known for his business endeavors and philanthropic efforts. He was engaged in community organizations, including the Capitol Theatre and the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce.

Sislo had two protective orders against him that prohibited firearm possession. Yet, he had access to weapons. In June, court records showed charges of “strangulation” and “endangering an incompetent” in Cayuga County.

Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood expressed disappointment that Sislo was released on bail. Sheriff Hood wished the courts had denied bail, keeping Sislo in custody.
